Motion City Soundtrackラスト来日ツアーを記念して、POWERPOP ACADEMYでは何とかして彼らへ感謝と愛を届けたいと考え、彼らの代表曲の一つである「This Is For Real」のカバーリレー企画を実施します！
この企画は、Motion City Soundtrackの代表曲の一つである「This Is For Real」を、彼らを愛する日本のミュージシャンたちによってリレー形式でカバーしてしまおうというもの。ハッシュタグ「#MCSserialcover」を付け、カバー動画をTwitterに投稿、次のアーティストを指名して行き、最終的に一曲を完成させます。
トップバッターは、Motion City Soundtrack9月12日大阪公演のオープニング・アクトに抜擢されたバンド、ナードマグネットのヴォーカル須田亮太！
果たして彼が次に指名するのは！？最終的にはどんなカバーに仕上がるのか！？
