作詞作曲から、ボーカルそして楽器を自在に操る天才Burke Thomas。古くは1993年あのWEEZERの名曲”My name is jonas”などのデモレコーディングにエンジニアとして参加。自身はドラマーとしてMUZZLE、VENDETTA REDといったメジャーのバンドに在籍。
そんな彼の作曲での才能を吐き出す場所として生み出されたバンドこそがこのPRIS（プリス）！。その恐ろしいまでにキャッチー、メロディアスな楽曲スタイルは米メディアからデイブ・グロールやリヴァース・クオモに例えられ、またたくまに噂となるとアルバム”The Kiss Off”を米Lovelessよりリリース。

今回、本人がボーナストラックとしてではなく日本盤のためにと新曲をかなり書き下ろし、曲順、US版との曲入替、ジャケットワークにいたるまで再考。完全に生まれ変わったNEW“The Kiss Off” がこの秋、ジャパンリリース決定！

"I'm addicted to hooks and candy-pop songs," says [Vendetta Red] drummer Burke Thomas. "It's pretty much all I do when I'm not touring with Vendetta. It really consumes me when I'm home." A man of modest vices, Thomas is talking about Pris ( prispop.com), the prolific pop solo project he runs out of his basement studio in Seattle. After filling out a live lineup with friends, Thomas Re-mastered several of his early recordings and fashioned 24 of them into a greatest-hits package of sorts. Title The Kiss Off, the collection comes via Loveless Records, the one-time home of Vendetta Red. "It's basically a compilation of five demo CDs," Thomas explains. "I'll go down to my basement and record drums and guitars. I'm a slow writer, so I always add the vocals last — I've got a mic right next to the computer. After about a week, a song's done. It’s pretty all-inclusive."
